Coach Devi Leads ALTERANS at AYIMUN 2025 in Kuala Lumpur
SMP Islam Al Azhar 13 Surabaya has proudly marked a new milestone in its academic journey as the ALTERANS delegation, under the guidance of Coach Devi, made its debut at the Asian Youth International Model United Nations (AYIMUN) 2025, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
This prestigious international conference brings together young, aspiring leaders from across Asia in a dynamic simulation of the United Nations. For the first time, ALTERANS joined the ranks of global youth delegates, stepping onto the world stage to represent not just their school, but also Indonesia in a spirited exchange of ideas, diplomacy, and collaboration.
Guided by the experienced and inspiring Coach Devi, the students took part in committee sessions that tackled some of the world’s most pressing issues—ranging from education reform and human rights to global peace and security. Participants engaged in high-level debates, strategic negotiations, and consensus-building activities, each representing a different member state of the United Nations.
The AYIMUN platform provided ALTERANS students with a rare opportunity to refine critical 21st-century skills: public speaking, analytical thinking, diplomatic communication, and cross-cultural collaboration. Beyond the academic rigor, it was also a celebration of diversity, youth empowerment, and global citizenship.
Coach Devi’s leadership played a crucial role in preparing the students to meet the challenges of international diplomacy with confidence and poise. Her dedication to excellence and passion for student development have once again placed SMP Islam Al Azhar 13 Surabaya on the global map of academic achievement.
As ALTERANS returns from Kuala Lumpur, they carry with them not just memories of a transformative experience, but a strengthened commitment to being thoughtful, informed, and engaged future leaders.
Congratulations to Coach Devi and the ALTERANS team on this historic achievement. The future is bright—and this is just the beginning.
